Your Opportunity

As our Commercial Analyst, you will business partner in all areas of financial, analytical, and planning processes with a focus on enabling business performance in a fast-paced environment. You will assist in the preparation of monthly and weekly reporting to understand trends and opportunities and provide thorough insights to key stakeholders. This is a full time permanent position and will be a business partner to the retail operations team in areas of financial and analytical and planning processes.

Requirements for Success

  • Preparation of a structured weekly and monthly reporting to promote a thorough discussion of the previous week results and KPIs.
  • Work with the financial accountants to understand one-offs and movements in balance sheet provisions to the extent they impact or could impact the P&L.
  • Support the planning & budgeting processes for P&L lines of area of responsibility. Work with non-finance stakeholders to ensure buy-in of forecasts and plans are communicated to budget holders.
  • Support the Real estate and operations teams in the appraisal of new business opportunities.
  • Support the finance systems analyst in the development of new systems as required.
  • Take an active role in preparing adhoc analysis, as needed, to gain deeper understanding of favourable or unfavourable trends, competitive threats, impact of tactical opportunities, cost efficiencies

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Excel is essential in this role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience using SAP
  • Degree qualified in business or commerce
  • Lateral thinker, with a consultative approach to problem solving issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with your multiple stakeholders based on site and globally
